Description
Enhanced photography art design of a fly fisherman's hands releasing a caught Rainbow trout from a river in Montana, USA. This image is also available in a larger horizontal design.
Fly fishing is an angling method that uses a light-weight lure called an artificial fly to catch fish. The fly is cast using a fly rod, reel, and specialized weighted line. The light weight of the line and fly requires casting techniques significantly different from other forms of casting. Fly fishing is an avid hobby around the world enjoyed by men, woman, and children.
The flies used for fly fishing are hand-made, fly tying, which is a process of binding various materials to a hook with thread. Material used varies from fur, yarns, and feathers. The flies are made to resemble natural invertebrates, baitfish, or other food organisms that would attract fish.
